How I study

Hello

I figured a good place to start would be how I study as at the moment I am not studying in the most conventional of ways.

I study from home and am taught over Skype I have a maximum of 7 hours of teaching a week which is a very small amount in the grand scheme of the week. I have to teach myself a large amount and I have to have the self discipline to complete the work as I have no one there telling me when I have to do it. I will admit it is hard at times and it is a lot of work in one year.

If I rewind back to August last year I was getting my a level results from when I was at college, I knew that I could not go to university that September but I wanted to know if I had got the grades to get in or if I had to study during the following year. I got a B in my Ancient History but my Politics and English Lit did not go as well as I hoped and needed them to go. Hence why I am also studying this year.

If you are wondering as to why I had to take a year out I had to have quite a large operation on my knee I was on crutches for three months afterwards and have only just been discharged from the hospital with limitations for the rest of my life. My knee was really messed up and before going to university I needed it to be fixed so I took a year out to ensure that I could do the course that I wished to do at university.

This may not be the most conventional way to study I do miss the support network you have at college that helps you out in anyway that it is needed. however, this method appears to be working for me I am doing well and as long as I work hard I am on course to get high enough grades to get me into university.

Sorry that this was a long post I just thought that it was worth addressing.
